Emma's Best Friend

Emma has a best friend all ready! Lane is the daughter of our best friends Joey and Melanie. Joey and Jimmy have been friends since they were kids and his wife and I are also extremely close! Its been really nice having a couple we can hang out with and spend some much time together. Its really rare you find a couple that you all 4 click.
So when we found out that they were pregnant we thought might as well go ahead and try. We had been planning on trying late in the spring and thought its going to take us awhile to get pregnant. NOPE first month trying we were pregnant.
It worked out great for our little couple group because our girls are only about a month a part!!!!!
We love seeing them grow up together and can't wait to see them become as close as friends as their moms and dads are!!!!

When the other is away....

Thankfully Jimmy is doing great with his work, but unfortunately he's gone more during the week. It wasn't too bad when it was just me, but now we have little Emma and I'm dong it by myself. At first I would stay with my mom , but I've started getting the hang of it and I REALLY do enjoy the time with Emma all by myself.

I hate it for Jimmy when he's gone. He loves her so much and hates not being there for everything.

Everything has changed now that Emma is here. I race out of work not to get home and chill. I race to daycare to see her smiling face greet me. I CAN NOT tell you how amazing it feels to have her give me the BIGGEST smile as if she is saying "MOM , THERE YOU ARE!!!!!"

Our afternoon is a usual routine:
get her home and let her chill in her bouncer or play on the mat while I un pack her diaper bag
get her bottles washed for the next day
heat up her food for her dinner
dinner
clean up- she usually chills in her high chair and chats to me
play until its bath time
bath time
bottle
bed time

THEN I get time to watch some TV and I take a shower and do my hair so when I wake up an hour earlier to get her ready and out the door by 6:30.

its all in a days work! I wouldn't change it at all!!!!!

A Day 2010

Emma's first day trip was AUBURN A-DAY. We got an early start right after Emma had her morning bottle. She was so good all the way down! She only got a little fussy when she couldn't get comfy for a little nap on the way.
We got down there around 9:00 and loaded up her stroller with all her stuff. I thought I needed a lot but that girl has got bags and bags of stuff! She ate in front of the coliseum and it was the perfect weather to see Peter and for him to show her off to his friends.



She got her naps in during the day when we were strolling around Auburn. I was so happy she was content in the stroller.



We went to toomer's corner and got her a hat for to cover up her head during the game and then headed to meet up with our friends Forrest and Teresa. They are such good friend and are like Emma's aunt and uncle.




After some down time on the grass we headed in to the game to see John, Brooke, and Will! Thankfully Emma's Yia Yia and my WONDERFUL mother in law sat with us to help me out with Emma. She was sooooo great. I REALLY thought this was going to be horrible. Jimmy kept saying that it would be really relaxed in the stands but the fans showed out this year! It was packed and HOT!




Emma napped on Cathy and ate with NO PROBLEMS! She sat with Jimmy and loved seeing Will. After the 3rd quarter we headed out. I was tired and Emma was getting Hot. Plus, we wanted to see the new coliseum. IT WAS AMAZING! Gave us some more time to see Forrest and Teresa. Then we decided to head back.




I was captain resourceful and used the car seat for her feeding time. I fed her while we sat in bumper to bumper traffic. Then after her dinner she fell asleep.


NOT BEFORE TAKING A HUGE DUMP and having us sit and smell it all the way home! All in all it was WONDERFUL trip and we can't wait to take her down for a game next year!

7 months old!

Today Emma turned 7 months old!!!!!!!!
Some facts about my growing baby girl:
She LOVES to giggle when being tickled
She has tickle spots on her knees and under her arms
Favorite veggie- carrots
Favorite fruit- ANY! BUT she doesn't like bananas. Something about the consistency of it.
is eating 2nd stage baby foods
starting Gerber graduates foods ( yogurt melts and apple grain puffs)
sitting up without support
rolling over from front to back and back to front
sleeps from 6:30 pm to 6/7 am
sucks her thumb
likes light switches
When I sing "You are my sunshine" she gets the biggest smile on her face
LOVES Gizmo
doesn't mind bath time
Likes other children, gets really excited when she sees them

AND of course is the sweetest little angel I could EVER ask for!

One of the BEST Mondays EVER!

Today on my way home from work after picking up little bit, i decided to make an off the routine stop! I know, its not like me, but it was such a pretty day and we were early coming home so........ WE STOPPED FOR ICE CREAM FOR THE FIRST TIME!
I was so excited! We got a scoop of vanilla and sat outside. She LOVED it! Her little legs would kick in excitement when she would get a bite and that mouth would open up sooooo big!

I can't believe how big she is now, 7 months old and getting ice cream. Her little face melts my heart and to get to watch her experience things for the first time makes being a mom so much more than words can express!

One of the best Mondays EVER!

Baptism Invite!!!!

I just checked my shipment of Emma's baptism invites!!! It says they should be here by tomorrow. Thankfully, my mom has gotten address labels made, copied off directions to the luncheon afterwards and given me stamps! She loves to say she is my assistant and for this she really was!
It took me awhile to find something I really liked, I'm not really a girlie girl but I didn't want anything too modern. Also, with the small wedding we are inviting , (ABOUT 120 PEOPLE) I had to make some budget cuts on what I could get. I found this one and LOVED it! With it being 99 cents a card that was a HUGE deal!
NOW, for them to hurry up and arrive so I can send them out to all the people we love and want to be there to see Emma's big day!

Trying This Again ......!!!!!

Ok, I tried to do a blog before Emma was born and we all know that I failed miserably! I love my facebook, so I just stuck to that :) Then the most amazing day happened, WE HAD EMMA! and I have now taken over a 1,000 pictures of her. She is only 7 months old!!!! I enjoy being a mom, wife, and friend so much that I think I need to share our stories of how our days go.

Fingers crossed I keep it up!
